The 14th European Science on Stage Festival will take place from 28 to 31 May 2026 in Klaipėda, Lithuania, under the motto “STEAM Education: Innovation Meets Creativity and Responsibility.” This is Europe’s largest STEM teaching event, bringing together approximately 450 primary and secondary school teachers from over 30 countries to share their most creative and innovative teaching ideas.
At the festival, teachers present their projects at interactive stands, lead hands-on workshops, and participate in highlight sessions. Participants are selected through competitive national events held across Europe in 2025, making the festival a showcase of the very best STEM teaching practices on the continent.
The 2026 festival is organised around seven guiding themes: STEM for the Youngest, STEM Education for Sustainable Development, AI in STEM Education, Career Orientation in STEM Education, Equity and Inclusion in STEM Education, Self-directed Learning in STEM Education, and Low-Cost Experiments in STEM Education. All projects represent inquiry-based learning approaches.
The “Equity and Inclusion” theme is especially relevant to the STREAM IT mission, focusing on teaching methods that engage students with different learning levels and cultural backgrounds, and promoting diversity in STEM classrooms.
