The CEITEC Multimodal and Functional Imaging Laboratory (CF MAFIL) at Masaryk University in Brno is once again joining the Brain Awareness Week festival with its own programme of lectures and lab tours. This annual tradition, now in its 27th edition globally, is an opportunity to showcase that world-class neuroscience research is happening in the heart of Central Europe.
Brain Awareness Week 2026 at CEITEC runs from 9 to 15 March 2026 at the University Campus Bohunice in Brno. The programme features interactive presentations on cutting-edge brain research, tours of the MAFIL laboratory facilities (including advanced neuroimaging equipment), and public lectures aimed at making neuroscience accessible to all audiences.
Organised by the Faculty of Science at Masaryk University in cooperation with the Rector’s Office, this event is a cornerstone of science popularisation in the Czech Republic. It welcomes students, educators, families, and the general public to discover how modern neuroscience advances our understanding of the brain and its functions.
This event is particularly relevant for STEAM educators and students interested in neuroscience, technology, and interdisciplinary science communication.
