The STEAM Innovation Portuguese National Festival takes place on 29 April 2026 in Oeiras, Portugal, as a vibrant showcase of student-led STEAM projects. Designed to be an event by students, for students, the festival features a fair-style exhibition where young makers proudly present their work to peers, teachers, researchers, and professionals.

The festival is part of the STEAM Innovation project, a European initiative involving partners from Greece, Cyprus, Italy, and Portugal, aimed at promoting maker education and design thinking in schools. Students showcase projects developed throughout the 2025–2026 school year using Design Thinking, maker methodologies, and STEAM competencies as a foundation. Projects explore areas such as electronics, programming, robotics, 3D modelling and printing, engineering, prototyping, and digital media production.

The event is organised by NUCLIO (the Portuguese partner of STEAM Innovation) in collaboration with the III Oeiras Science Clubs Meeting and supported by Instituto Superior Técnico (Campus Oeiras), INESC-ID, ITQB-NOVA, and the Oeiras Municipality (Oeiras Valley). The festival is open to schools and student teams in Portugal with students aged 11 and above, accompanied by at least one responsible teacher.
