The EARLI SIG 14 Conference 2026 on Learning and Professional Development takes place from 15 to 18 September 2026 at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. This conference is organised by the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI), the leading European scientific association for educational research, founded in 1985.
The conference brings together international researchers and practitioners working on learning processes and professional development, with a focus on evidence-based approaches to education. Topics include teacher professional learning, workplace learning, mentoring and coaching, technology-enhanced learning, and instructional design.
A JURE (Junior Researchers of EARLI) pre-conference is held on 15 September, providing emerging scholars with dedicated sessions to present their work, receive feedback, and connect with peers and mentors. The main conference programme (16–18 September) features keynote lectures, symposia, paper presentations, and poster sessions.
For the STREAM IT community, this conference is particularly valuable as it addresses the professional development of educators — a key lever for improving STEM teaching practices and integrating gender-inclusive approaches. Research presented here often directly informs how teachers are trained and supported in their careers, making it highly relevant for those working to transform STEAM education across Europe.
Submission deadline: 30 January 2026.
