The Ecsite Annual Conference 2026 is the flagship event of Ecsite — the European Network of Science Centres and Museums — bringing together over 900 professionals from 50+ countries. It takes place on 2–4 June 2026 in Gothenburg, Sweden, hosted by Universeum (Sweden’s national science centre) and Svenska Mässan convention centre.
The conference is the largest gathering of science engagement and communication professionals in Europe, featuring over 80 sessions across formats including keynotes, workshops, participatory labs, hands-on demos, and exhibitions. Topics cover science communication innovation, STEAM education, public engagement, inclusivity and diversity in science centres, digital engagement strategies, and community outreach. A dedicated strand addresses gender and inclusion in STEM public engagement.
