The 2026 Annual Conference of the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) took place from 22 to 25 April 2026 in Brussels, Belgium, in hybrid format. The conference theme was ‘Research careers beyond borders: 30 years of the MSCA’, celebrating three decades of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions — one of the EU’s flagship research funding programmes.
Hundreds of participants from across the world joined to discuss topics spanning research careers, science policy, intersectoral collaboration, and professional development. The programme included high-level panel discussions, hands-on training sessions, networking events, and a showcase of outstanding MCAA member achievements. Recordings of keynotes and selected sessions are available online for remote participants.
For the STREAM IT community, the MCAA conference highlights the importance of supporting research mobility, career development, and gender balance in European research. It aligns with the project’s goals of promoting inclusive STEM career pathways and connecting diverse research communities across Europe.
