The Technovation Girls World Summit is the culminating event of the world’s largest technology entrepreneurship competition for girls aged 8–18. Each year, over 11,000 teams from more than 100 countries participate, developing mobile apps and AI-powered solutions to address real community problems. The World Summit brings together the top finalists to present their apps and business plans to a global panel of judges.
The programme is designed to empower girls with practical skills in coding, entrepreneurship, and leadership, directly addressing the gender gap in STEM from an early age. Since its founding, Technovation has reached over 375,000 girls and women across 115+ countries. In 2026, the World Summit is expected to take place in October (exact venue TBC).
For the STREAM IT community, Technovation Girls represents one of the most impactful global initiatives for engaging girls in technology and innovation. It aligns directly with the project’s goal of inspiring girls and women to pursue STEM careers through hands-on, project-based learning and mentorship.
