The 12th International Summer Academy in Engineering for Women (ISAE4W) takes place from 13 to 28 July 2026 at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Wels, Austria.
ISAE4W offers an intensive two-and-a-half-week programme for highly motivated and talented female STEM students from around the world. The academy combines top-class university-level coursework in engineering with hands-on laboratory work, industry visits, and cultural activities. Participants earn 4 ECTS credits upon completion.
The programme specifically targets women in engineering to build international networks, develop technical skills, and gain exposure to Austrian industry and research. It is one of the longest-running summer academies dedicated to women in engineering in Europe.
For the STREAM IT community, ISAE4W exemplifies a best-practice model for encouraging women’s participation and advancement in engineering education through immersive international learning experiences.
